COVID-19 guidance (June 2020)

We have decided to resume operations following a tough lockdown period. We are now open for templating & fitting and our showroom is open by appointment only.

The protection of our staff and customers remains our priority and work will only be undertaken where we can guarantee the following guidelines will be adhered to:

Safety of our team

We will:

  • Stagger our teams’ return to work to ensure we can adhere to social distancing measures.
  • Remain vigilant to ensure we capture any early signs of infection amongst our team and ensure sufficient quarantine activities take place.
  • Communicate regularly with our team to ensure correct sanitising (e.g. cleaning equipment, hand washing) and social distancing requirements are adhered to.
  • Monitor access to common areas, including company kitchens and smoking areas, to maintain social distancing.
  • Review government advice to ensure our measures remain sufficient and safe.

Safety of our customers

Showroom and customer visits to the factory

  • Our showroom is open by appointment only – if you arrive without an appointment you will be asked to leave.
  • Where customers need to view specific slabs, an appointment will be arranged, and only if the products can be displayed in a way that social distance can be maintained.
  • Customers may only visit if they and their household have been COVID symptom-free for 14 days and must maintain social distancing rules.

Templating

  • The site or household must have been free from COVID symptoms for at least 14 days.
  • Customers must cancel appointments if COVID symptoms develop after the arrangement of the appointment.
  • The templater will work alone in the kitchen; both the homeowner and other tradespeople need to be out of that room while our staff member is present.
  • Customers will have the opportunity to discuss specific requirements but social distancing rules will apply.
  • Our staff must and will take precautions, wearing gloves, using hand sanitiser, washing hands at the earliest opportunity.
  • If for any reason the templater is not happy with, for instance, distances from other trades etc., they will leave the site. The aborted visit will be chargeable according to our standard terms and conditions.

Fitting

  • Due to a reduced workforce, lead times between templating and delivery may be extended beyond our normal standards.
  • Fitters working as a team must be confident that their partner and his household is free from COVID symptoms and has been for 14 days.
  • Customers must cancel the installation appointment if COVID symptoms develop after the arrangement of the appointment.
  • Our fitters will work alone in the kitchen; both the homeowner and other tradespeople need to be out of that room while our staff member is present.
  • Any communication with the homeowner or site manager will follow social distancing rules.
  • Customers will have the opportunity to check the installation and discuss any issues and maintenance guidelines once the installers have finished. Social distancing rules will apply.
  • Installers must and will take precautions, wearing gloves, using hand sanitiser, washing hands at the earliest opportunity.
  • If for any reason the installers are not happy with, for instance, distances from other trades etc., they will leave the site. The aborted visit will be chargeable according to our standard terms and conditions.
