Terms of business

  1. Our quotations are based upon information supplied by yourselves. Please check all your requirements are illustrated. If you would like to add/remove any items please inform us & we will amend the quotation accordingly. The quotation is inclusive of a two man fitting team unless otherwise states. All quotations are valid for 60 days unless otherwise stated.
  2. Parking – A cleared area is required to off load material. Please make necessary arrangements should parking permits be required. Any further costs as a result of parking related issues are payable by you the client. Please advise if there are any access issues e.g. steps; as this may require additional labour on site. (An extra 2man fitting team will incur additional costs).
  3. We are fully booked for a 2 week rolling period. Lead times for Granite and Quartz can vary due to material availability. (Certain Quartz, Granite or Dekton materials can take 3-4 weeks delivery prior to manufacture). From template to fit is 7 – 10 days (if the job is larger than average & special edge profile required, this could take a few days longer).
  4. Upon receipt of templates, any additional/removal of dimensions will be adjusted and a revised Sales Order, with the final cost will be forwarded to yourselves prior to manufacture for your approval.
  5. The customer or person in authority, MUST be present at both the templating and installation stage. Hob, Sink, Taps & Pop Up socket must be on site at template stage. A signature will be required upon completion by the customer or person in authority. Without this we may not be able to proceed.
  6. Please ensure all existing worktops that are in place are removed prior to our arrival to template for the new worktops. Without this we may have to abort the templating and arrange an alternative later templating date. Charges may also occur for an aborted template which is at the discretion of Cambrian Granite.
  7. Cancellations not notified to Cambrian Granite within a 48 hour period, prior to a template or installation will incur an additional 10% administration fee of the total order value and may delay the template and installation dates.
  8. If any deposits or balance payments are paid to Cambrian Granite for any works and then consequently the works are cancelled for any reason, any works that have been fulfilled and completed prior to cancellation will be exempt from a refund.
  9. Quotations are initially valid for 60 days. If confirming after 60 days, the price could well have changed.
  10. Our own range of Quartz called CALDERA comes with a standard 1 years warranty on this whole range.
  11. Our own range of material called SANTORINI BY COSENTINO, is bought from Cosentino in Spain. These are made by Cosentino and they all come with the same warranties and terms as the materials usually would when bought from Cosentino. These are detailed in point 11 below. The Santorini By Cosentino Warranties will need to be registered by the end user within 6 months of the installation been completed.
  12. For all purchases of Silestone, Dekton or Sensa products, these materials come with a standard 2 years warranty with the manufacturers Cosentino but to extend this warranty all purchases must be registered with Cosentino within 6 months after the installation has been completed by ourselves. To register your warranty please visit: http://warranty.cosentino.com/index/inicial/pais/GB/lang/en/ and enter the fabricators ID for Cambrian Granite of 6000008122 to complete the registration of your warranty. Without this only the 2 years standard warranty will stand. The extended warranties for each material are Silestone: 25 years, Dekton: 25 years and Sensa: 15 years. If any further assistance is needed, please don’t hesitate to contact ourselves.
  13. Drainer grooves or recessed drainers involve a fabrication process that breaks the seal of the suppliers finished surface of the material and effectively removes the suppliers factory processed polish. Due to this, Cambrian Granite or our suppliers, cannot warranty those parts of the surfaces that have been changed. This applies only to the area of the drainer grooves, recessed drainer or any other surfaces that have been broken within an order. Having drainer grooves, a recessed drainer or any other sunken parts of your worktops, does not stop the warranty for the Silestone, Dekton or Sensa worksurfaces in total. It only applies to those areas where the drainer grooves, recessed drainer or sunken parts are utilised.
  14. All worktop overhang edges and breakfast bar/island overhangs, are left un polished as standard unless this is specified to be polished or smoothed at the quote or template stages and asked for as an additional extra.
  15. Cambrian Granite will not undertake any plumbing or electrical works at any stage of the template or installation process. We will however fit the sink bowls in place and adhere to the worktops. All sinks, taps and hobs will need to be plumbed in by a competent qualified person 24 hours after Cambrian Granite have installed the worktops, to allow all adhesive and silicone to set in place.
  16. Silicone and resin worktops joints have a 1 year warranty should they split or crack when in use.
  17.  The quartz material that contains metallic flecks and mirror pieces, can also contain red and blue coloured chips within the material. This is part of the natural make-up of the material and Cambrian Granite cannot guarantee that these will be avoided in your worktop order. The metallic and mirror flecks can also occasionally come out from the surface of the quartz material when in use or in fabrication, and again this is part of the material properties which cannot be avoided.
  18. Granite is a natural product and the samples seen in showrooms and/or at Cambrian Granite are only a representation and the actual materials supplied for your worktops can vary and differ in colour, pattern, shade and texture. This isn’t something that Cambrian Granite can control and may result in you receiving materials different from the original samples seen.
  19. Please avoid using any cutting implements directly on your work surfaces as this can cause the material to scratch and mark which isn’t covered by any warranty. This also applies to any heat sources such as hot pans taken straight from an Aga, Range Cooker, Hob or Freestanding cooker. Please always ensure your work surfaces are protected where necessary and use heat mats or chopping boards to ensure any damage is kept to a minimum.
  20. Sometimes it is necessary to finish cutting out the hob or sink apertures on site depending on where they are positioned in the worktops and what material is being used for the worktops. This is to minimise any potential cracks or damages to the material when in transit and installation.
  21. In order to keep our turnaround times to a minimum, we require the templates sent to you, to be approved within 24 hours. They require to be approved in writing via email to state you are happy to proceed or if you have any changes you would like to make. If no response is given within 24 hours, the worktops may be removed from production and delayed until all templates are approved.
  22. Once Cambrian Granite have taken the templates, no items in the kitchen must be removed, amended or changed before we install the worktops, unless you advise ourselves of this fact and we would then need to re book an additional template which will be chargeable.
  23. Final invoices per order, will be issued within 5 working days from completion, unless other circumstances occur which prevent Cambrian Granite from fulfilling this.
  24. Cambrian Granite may take photographs of works and use on marketing material to showcase our works. This may include on social media, our website, and print materials. If you do not wish us to take photography on site please let Cambrian Granite know in writing when placing an order with ourselves.Payments
